JGL was hired to evaluate community noise created by a chip blower used to transport wood chips through a 1/4 mile long elevated pipe in a wood processing plant. Recommendations for reducing noise levels from the blower were also provided.

Boeing Autoclave, Seattle, WA (1989)

JGL was hired to evaluate noise associated with one of the world's largest autoclaves. In addition, specific noise control recommendations were provided to reduce noise to acceptable levels.

Weyerhaeuser Portable Hammermill, Federal Way, WA (1997)

JGL was hired to evaluate various techniques for reducing noise levels from a pulp hammermill used to make disposable diapers from wood products.

Post Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, Bellingham, WA (1990)

JGL was hired to review the design of the entire secondary treatment upgrade and calculate noise levels in the nearby communities. In addition, recommendations for source specific noise control was provided to ensure compliance with applicable noise ordinances.

Bayou Bonfouca EPA Superfund Cleanup Site, Slidell, LA (1993)

JGL was hired to evaluate community noise radiating from a 600 horsepower induced draft fan serving a creasote spill cleanup site. In addition, a detailed design for a custom silencer was provided to reduce community noise to acceptable levels.

Inland Empire Paper Mill, Spokane, WA (2001)

JGL was hired to evaluate community noise radiating from several vacuum pumps, a cooling tower and a mist-elimination fan serving a new paper machine located near a residential community. In addition, specific noise control recommendations were provided to reduce noise to acceptable levels.
